Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Dear friends, family, and supporters,
Together we have a chance to make a difference in the lives of Liberian refugees. I’m not asking for your donations, which you have given so generously in the past, but rather that you join me as a member of PureCharity.com. This amazing company allows you to redirect a percentage of your usual purchases to a charitable cause. It doesn’t cost you anything, it just allows the purchases you would normally make to be meaningful in the lives of others.
The list of participating retailers is impressive and growing. It includes Target, Walmart, Gap, Sephora, JCrew, Lowes, and many more. Much like Upromise, Pure Charity captures the philanthropy funds of these companies at the time of purchase and redirects it to serve the charity of your choice.
So, how exactly do you give to GroundUp Global? There are two ways:
1. A percentage of every dollar you spend at registered retailers will go into your personal giving fund, which you can then use to become a “backer” of our projects on the ground.
2. Encourage friends and family to sign up through your personal PureCharity advocate link and you will receive rewards based on both the number of people who sign up through you and the purchases they make. These rewards go into your personal giving fund and can be used to back projects.
Watch the Pure Charity video here to learn more about the company!
If GroundUp Global gains 50 unique backers for our project by August 10th, a generous donor will give us $1,000 to put towards refugee repatriation. To make this a reality we need your help!

The company works much like the well-known Upromise but instead of contributing a fraction of every purchase you make to your child’s college education, you are contributing a percentage of your purchases towards the charity of your choice.
Pure Charity will NOT spam you.
The site uses the same security system as major banks to ensure that when you make purchases or connect credit or debit cards, your information is completely safe.
