2 White Wrapped Bead Necklace
This necklace was made by hand by Nancy Tarlue, the head of Women of Destiny vocational school. Initially the wife of a government official, Nancy lost her husband and all but one of her children in the first Liberian Civil War. An intelligent and determined woman, Nancy opened Women of Destiny to help those struggling to find jobs on Buduburam. Although the school is now facing difficult times, Nancy is hopeful that with the help of BUDU and The SCHEF Organization, she will be able to continue her social mission of female empowerment.
